Client Quote #21: women’s bodies

Let’s review women’s ideal body through the ages shall we...

Ancient Greece- plump, full bodied

Han Dynasty- slim waist, slender physique

Italian Renaissance- ample bosom, rounded stomach, full hips

Victorian England- desirably plump, full figured, cinched waist

Roaring 20s- flat chest, boyish figure

Golden Ages of Hollywood- curves, hourglass, large breasts, slim waist

70s- thin, long and slim legs, adolescent physique

80s- athletic, fit but curvy, tall, toned arms

90s- extremely thin, waifish

2000s- flat stomach, jutting hip bones

2010s-2020s- small waist, large breasts and butt (ie. Kardashians) OR lean, toned, thin (ie. Kpop)

…. Are we seeing how arbitrary the ideal woman body switches throughout time for no good reason?

Clearly all types of bodies were appreciated throughout history. Take a stance in seeing how ridiculous it is that people are being subjected to these random standards that make us feel inadequate. Who’s to say what you should look like, who the hell do they think they are 🤬
