This was a quote from Ben Smith, a contestant on The Bachelorette season 16. He shared his eating disorder journey on the show.

The rest of the quote goes “I found out what girls were when I was 15. I realized they don't like the fat kid. So I stopped eating. I started working out all the time, lost like 70 pounds, and had bulimia for 10 years when I was in my 20s. It's hard to hide something for so long. I kept it from everybody… I’m finally at a place now where I feel safe and comfortable with the people that I live and work with. I care a great deal about this. It's just hard for me to let it out.”

I think what he said deserves so much recognition. Thank you, Ben, for making eating disorders and mental health a little bit easier to talk about for boys and men everywhere.
